How about some snorkeling?
Recently we took a snorkeling trip to Los Cobanos, Sonsonate, in a really nice brown beach in El Salvador, inside a protected natural area, clear waters and nice weather made this tour a really nice experience. The local bilingual tour guides were very knowledgeable of the area and pointed the best spots, to catch a view of the marine life.
My son was able to spot, sea snake, blowfish, and many colorful fish, I was a bit worried about the underwater adventure, but as it turned out this tour happens in shallow waters, and hard coral is safe to swim in, no need for the use of the provided fins.
After 3 hours of exploration underwater, we went back to the "rancho", were a delicious fish lunch was waiting for us. Los Cobanos offers really nice brown sandy beach and different options for tourism, since it is mostly private homes, there are no fancy bars or restaurants, but it has some hotels and hostals that can offer you a place to spend the day. Also on the same beach an all inclusive multinational hotel.
We will be comming back soon to visit the sunken shipwreck, another snorkeling tour and also a guided tour in the Los Cobanos protected area.
Even tough we didn´t see a massive amount of fish, it was a really nice experience, worry-free environment and a great adventure!

Restrictions: This tour is done in shallow waters, but in some areas the water might reach 6 feet (2 meters), therefore all participants need to now how to swim.
